Singapore’s Logistics Association (SLA) wants to raise the profile of logistics, improve the industry’s skill levels and help people appreciate how vital the business of physically moving things around is to daily life and the economy. The new “We Can Movement” campaign will showcase an industry that accounts for 9% of Singapore’s GDP with 138,000 employees and demonstrate how it can contribute even more with sophisticated technology and techniques. The SLA wants to convince more talented young people to pursue careers in logistics, saying it requires people of all education levels to maintain and increase Singapore’s competitive edge.
